The Callan & Mahon Academy was recently founded by Paula Callan & Danielle Mahon.

“As we are both working makeup artists in the business we thought that it would be of interest to anybody thinking of pursuing a career in makeup or just wanting to better their own skills”.

The Academy promises students a fundamental knowledge of makeup artistry, in a relaxed and fun environment.

“Our inspiration for the collaboration was the fact that we both admire each others work on a professional level, and we both have a passion for teaching…. so it just felt like a natural  progression”.

The course programmes are designed to teach a wide range of practical and specialised skills using the most up to date techniques, covering the full spectrum of essential makeup skills that any up and coming make up artist needs to know from fashion, editorial, runway, day to night and beautiful bridal makeup, using an up-to-date approach to learning.

What makes the course stand out is the fact that Paula and Danielle are both currently working in the industry on some of the most prestigious weddings, events, tv productions and photoshoots, it gives students an insight into whats on trend at the moment and also gives them a chance to assist on some of these events.

The Academy also offers one day workshops which is designed to teach specific topics from editorial makeup to perfecting and enhancing natural make up looks.

Together Paula & Danielle have collectively worked in the fashion industry for over 30 years.

During this time they have worked alongside some of the most renowned names in fashion including Vogue, Tatler, Elle and Harpers Bazaar to name but a few.

Paula & Danielle have also made up some of the most well known celebrities in the world including: Pussycat Dolls Nicole sherzinger and Kimberly White, Cara Delevingne, Helena Christianson, Una Healy, Cheryl Cole, Rosie Huntington, Elle McPherson, Laura Whitmore, Sienna miller, Sophie Dahl, Scarlett Johansson, Yasmin le Bon, Gok Wan, Imelda May, Vogue Williams, Randy Jackson,, Shaggy and many more.

They have collaborated on major events such as fashion week in London, Milan, New York and Paris, television productions for Fox Tv America, the MTV awards the BAFTA's… they feel so privileged to have been able to work behind the scenes at such prestigious events.
